Tim Pugmire covers politics and state government for Minnesota Public Radio. Before moving to the state Capitol bureau, Pugmire spent nine years reporting on education. He also worked at MPR's Collegeville bureau from 1990-96. Pugmire began his news broadcasting career in 1983 and worked for several commercial radio stations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University and New Ulm High School.
