The theme Democrats selected for the first night of the their party's national convention was "One Night," and the featured speaker of the evening was Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Also speaking on the opening night of the convention were U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, DFL-Minn., and more.
