Birds of Virginia performs in The Current studios

St. Paul, Minn. — Birds of Virginia celebrated the release of their debut album "Trees at Dusk" in October, 2009.

The band's namesake is derived from the lyric "Birds of Virginia are flyin' within ya," from the song "We are Real" by Nashville-based band Silver Jews.

Written and produced by lead singer Leonard James and released on the MPLS ltd label, their new album features three-part harmonies, steady guitars, and layered string arrangements.
