Party: Republican

Statement from the candidate:
My name is Doug Aitken and I am a working-class citizen who has seen firsthand the political wrangling at the State Capitol. I have seen the assualts on our constitutional liberties and I want to do something to stop it. Our rights as American and Minnesotan citizens are under attack. Our right to bear arms, our religious liberties, and th foundation of our society, the family, is being attacked from every side. I will strive to build a brighter future, not just for ourselves, but for our children. I want to come alongside local leadership to advance the social, moral, and economic interests of our people. I stand firm on
-Fiscal responsibility in government
-Local control of education
-Traditional marriage
-Protecting the life of the unborn
-Strict construction of the Constitution
