Statement from the campaign:
The state government should not be invested in professional sports facilities, gambling facilities, or the startup of any private business. The light rail recently put in was expensive to put in, will be expensive to maintain and the riders will be subsidized. To stop the drain on taxpayers, the light rail should be sold to private enterprise. No more light rail should be built at taxpayer expense. The on-ramp lights, run during rush hours, should be removed. The lights restrict vehicles trying to get on the highway and as a consequence the city streets have more traffic, making city streets more hazardous. The cost to maintain each set is over $100,000 per year. More highway lane miles need to be constructed to accommodate highway usage.

Public education is more costly than private education; incentives should be used to encourage parents to pursue private education for their children. Federal mandates for welfare programs sometimes are more costly than doing the program without federal assistance. If federal noncompliance will reduce the cost to the taxpayer without reducing the benefit to the needy, the welfare agency should pursue the most efficient course of action.
