Statement from the candidate:
I am running to be a Representative in 13A because I have enjoyed politics since I was a young man listening to my dad discuss politics with his friends. I decided to become involved at the county level as a campaign chairman for a local county race. The next election I ran as the candidate and was elected for two terms as a county commissioner. I have experience with several state and federal agencies on a variety of issues from wetland to social services. I attended many conferences in-state and in Washington DC for local issues. I feel I was successful at the county level and want to pursue a state office

Biography:
I live in the northwest corner of Kandiyohi County with my wife, Denise. I have two daughters, Sara and Kelly. I have farmed my whole life, milked cows, raised hogs and beef cattle. Currently I operate my farm as a grain and cash crop operation. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1993. I was elected to the Kandiyohi County Board in 1994 and served 8 years. I am ready to be the next state representative in 13A.
