Steve Simon
District:44A
Party: DFL
Residence: St. Louis Park, MN

Statement from the candidate:
We need a stronger voice in the Minnesota House. Hopkins and St. Louis Park have been hit hard since the last election. Our schools and cities have sustained some of the largest cuts in the state. Meanwhile, legislative leaders are preoccupied with a divisive social agenda. We can do better. As a lifelong resident of Hopkins and St. Louis Park, and as a former Assistant Attorney General, I'll fight for strong schools, affordable health care, and better priorities for Minnesota. I have spent many years as an advocate for our community, and I would be honored to earn your support.

Biography:
Attorney in private practice; born and raised in St. Louis Park and Hopkins; former Minnesota Assistant Attorney General; Temple Israel Congregation; St. Louis Park Community Education Advisory Council; TwinWest Chamber of Commerce; American Cancer Society; executive board, Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota.
