Statement from the candidate:
Rep. Solberg is seeking his 12th term in the House of Representatives. He is an experienced member with expertize on the State budget. He is the DFL lead member on the Ways and Means Committee.

Rep, Solberg desires to continue effectively serving his district. He interest in providing for adaquate education funding and insuring that higher education opportunities are available and affordable to area residents. He is also very supportive of providing affordable health care to rural communities.

A strong advocate for senior citizens, Rep. Solberg will continue his record of advocating for programs to maintain their quality of life.

Jobs are key to District 3B. He will continue to lead the fight for economic development and quality jobs.

Biography:
Rep. Solberg is married to Joan and they have four adult children and ten grand children. He served as mayor of Bovey for 13 years and has been a member of the House of Representatives for 22 years.

He hold Bachelor and Master Degrees in Educatoin from Bemidji State Universite and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University.

Besides his elected position, he spent 38 years as a math teacher in the Greenway and Coleraine schools.
